**Where is Macutec manufactured?**

It is made in Australia. We source only the highest standard ingredients. It is manufactured under the highest therapeutic standards (GMP) in a manufacturing facility regularly audited for compliance.

Why can’t I buy Macutec in a Pharmacy or other retail outlets?

Our goal is to keep the cost to customers as low as possible. Knowing many of our patients are on retirement savings or CPF incomes we made a conscious decision to have the most cost effective method for patients to purchase Macutec without paying a typical retailer margin. By returning to your Eye Care Specialist you can make significant savings and ensure you are getting the correct product for your condition.

How many capsules do I need to take?

You should follow the dosage recommendations provided by your Eye Health Specialist.
Macutec Once Daily: Simply take only 1 capsule per day (at any time).

Are there any negative side effects?

There are no known serious side effects from Macutec. In fact, Macutec Once Daily follows the proven AREDS-2 ‘low zinc’ formula containing 25mg of Zinc which is demonstrated to be milder on the patient’s stomach yet maintaining the full benefits proven in the AREDS-2 trial. As with any product it is possible for certain individuals to have a reaction to individual ingredients. If you have any specific concerns please contact your Eye Health Specialist or Clinic.

What improvement will I see?

Remember to get the full effect of Macutec, they have to be taken every day at the correct dose. It is also important to stay on the treatment to get the benefit. If you accidently miss an occasional dose, don’t worry as long as you resume your daily dosage, it won’t be long before you have made up the missed dose.

**Can I keep taking a multivitamin when I take Macutec?**

Yes you can, there is no need to worry about overdosing on individual ingredients.

I have trouble swallowing capsules?

The Macutec Once Daily capsules are approximately the size of a standard 1000mg Fish Oil capsule. Some people find that sipping and holding some water first before putting the capsule into their mouth helps with swallowing.
